Natural Disasters investigation questions?

Here are the questions that i will answer to help my investigation:

1. Why is communication so important during an emergency?

2. What forms of communication have been used during recent disasters e.g Hurricane Katrina, the Tsunami

3. What essential information needs to be communicated during a disaster or emergency?

4. What information can be created before the emergency? What information needs to be communicated during the emergency?

5. What hardware and software is required to be able to communicate online?

1. Communication is very important during emergencies because it is very important for people to know that you and/or more people or even a very large groups lives could be threatened. So in something like an earthquake or a hurricane or any other type of natural disaster so that if people are in danger in a natural disaster so that it is possible for them to call for help.

This picture shows a tornado and if this tornado put people in danger than they will need communication to tell people what is happening.

2.To tell people about the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina there were alot of different ways that people used to tell other people about what was happening so they could get help. One of the major ones was with cell phones or with radios. Not many people used the internet to contact for help but there where a few people who got help over skype and messenger. Things like Facebook and MySpace were also used but not many people used them except to post photos of what happened.

This is a picture that somebody took and put on the internet during hurricane Katrina so people would know what is happening there.
